James W. Cobb, Jr.

James W. Cobb, Jr., age 76 of Maryville passed away December 6, 2022, at Foothills Transitional Care and Rehabilitation. He was a 7th Degree Shishi-Dan and Master Instructor. He was a member of the Maryville Martial Arts. He had friends from the beginning students, and the Master and Grand Master across East and Middle Tennessee. He is leaving a hole in the area martial arts community where he was well-known and respected. He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Imogene Everett Cobb, Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Catherine Cobb; nieces and nephews, Sue Correll, Ray Travis, Donna Reynolds, and Bobby Allen; cousins, Gail Paxton, Diane Karschnik, and son, Chris Karschnik; numerous cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Sunday, December 11, 2022, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home and the service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Tim Dixon officiating. The interment will be at 3:00 PM at Grandview Cemetery.
