Jane Marshall Dominick, 88, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully after a time of declining health.
Born in Maryville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Margaret and Joe Marshall. A graduate of Maryville High School (1955), Maryville College, and U.T., Jane devoted her professional life to education, first as a high school French teacher and later in elementary schools.
A quietly strong and deeply caring woman, Jane was also an avid reader who found great joy in books from her local library, in cheering on the Lady Vols and in playing bridge. Jane was a lifelong Methodist and 60-year member of Church Street United Methodist Church. She cherished her involvement in the Pathfinder Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her husband of 60 years, George Edward Dominick; her children, Susan Lynne Dominick of Knoxville, and George Marshall Dominick of Nicholasville, Kentucky. Thanks are extended to the caring folks at Island Home.
A graveside Service will be held this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in Maryville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church Street United Methodist Church in support of the United Methodist Women.
She is remembered with love, gratitude, and quiet appreciation.
