Jason Ivan Parks

September 10, 1974 — December 24, 2025

Louisville, TN

Jason Ivan Parks, also known as Parks, 51, of Louisville, passed away on December 24, 2025 surrounded by his family. He is now reunited with loved ones who preceded him in death; his sister, Cassie Jean Rule; his Nanny, Wilma Jean Loope; and his cherished grandparents, Curley and Ruth Parks.

Parks was a 1992 graduate of Heritage High School and later attended ITT Technical Institute in Knoxville, where he earned an associate degree. He loved being outdoors and was an avid Tennessee football and racing fan. Parks took pride in giving back to his community, faithfully managing the opening and closing of Beal Park for the Town of Louisville 7 days a week.

Jason is survived by his parents, Carolyn and Michael Harrison of Louisville, Wayne Parks, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Parks played the hand he was dealt. When he suffered a stroke caused by his accident he faced the many challenges that came his way.  He was told he wouldn't survive, but he did. He was told he wouldn't be able to live independently, and again he proved them wrong. Through perseverance and strength that few could imagine, Jason continued forward, owning his own home, showing up to work every day regardless of how he felt, and living life on his own terms. Even in his final days, he did things his way.

Jason’s life offered a powerful example of resilience, determination, and quiet strength. He provided those who knew him with a lasting perspective on facing adversity and overcoming the odds. His character spoke volumes, and his impact will not be forgotten. His family and friends will deeply miss him.
