CARPENTER, Jewel Almeta Best age 84 of Barnesville,GA, formerly of Maryville, passed away Saturday, March 6th, 2004 at Heritage Inn Nursing Center, Barnesville, GA. She was preceded in death by: husband, Milton Carpenter. Parents, Ray and Lela Best. Step-mother, Elizabeth Best. Brothers, Roscoe Best, Leon Best , and Willie Best. Sister, Athelene Fuller. Survivors include: Son, Wendell Carpenter and wife Kay of Symrna, TN. Daughters, Jean Hutson and Husband FaDrew of Barnesville, GA. Jo Bailes and husband Tim of Knoxville. 8 Grandchildren 13 great grandchildren. Sister, Thelma Harvey. Brother, Stanley Best. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. Larry Best officiating. The interment will follow in Carpenters Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2:00 to 3:00 PM Tuesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
