Jewell Henry Gentry

GENTRY, Jewell, age 90 of Maryville, born May 31, 1916, died Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Gentry; father and mother, John B. and Missouri Henry; sister, Doris Nelson; brothers, Haskell, J. D. Cecil, Lester, Bobby and John Carl; son-in-law, Burnett (Tom) McGuffey. Survivors include her daughter, Earlene McGuffey; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Stirling Post; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Rosie Gentry; grandsons, Steve McGuffey, Carlton Post, David, Tim and Mark Gentry; several great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters, Deloris Thompson, Nancy Hawk; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harrison Hill officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service.
