John C. ''Tom'' Myers

John C. “Tom” Myers, age 88 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at his home. He was a member and Deacon of Laws Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, retired from ALCOA after 31 years of service and was a member of the 25 Year Service Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria O’Dell Myers; son, Larry Kidd; parents, John and Rebecca Oliver Myers; brother, Luther Myers; sisters, Lena M. Shields, Edith Byrd, Hazel Payne. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Warren Garner of Seymour; granddaughters, Lisa Caughron, Annette Houser, Karen Best; great grandsons, Tyler Caughron, Jonathan Houser, Jason Houser, Dalton Best; great granddaughter, Whitney Best; sister, Sue Phillips; sisters-in-law, Betty Myers, Faye Morton; special friend, Rich Miller; several nieces, nephews and good friends. The family expresses a special thanks to Blount Memorial Hospice. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Onley Williams and Rev. Ronnie Crisp officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service.
