John Gabe Godfrey

John Gabriel Godfrey born April 17th, 1972, passed away Monday, May 20th at UT Medical Center after a brief illness. Gabe is a much loved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend. A graduate of Maryville High School, he was a proud alumni of Maryville High School and made many friends during school and playing sports. Gabe is a good, kind man. He loved all sports, especially UT football and was always hopeful for a winning season. Gabe is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene and Bobbie Godfrey, Kenneth and Ella Mae Carrigan; father, Larry Godfrey. He is survived by his mother,Janice Godfrey; sister, Jennifer Godfrey; nephew, Spencer Burger; uncle and aunt, Garry and Barbara Godfrey; uncle and aunt, Dennis and Terri Godfrey; uncle and aunt, Don and Doris Carrigan; uncle and aunt Dean and Jane Carrigan; uncle and aunt, Danny and Beverly Carrigan; aunt and uncle, Robin and Wade Nance; many cousins and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him. A graveside service will conducted by Gabes cousin, Kevin Carrigan on Saturday, May 25th at Grandview Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
