John "Jack" Martin Cooper

John “Jack” Martin Cooper passed away peacefully on Sunday September 3, 2023 in Maryville, TN. He was surrounded by family in his final days. John was 94 years old.

John served in the Navy prior to attending Slippery Rock University where he studied Education. After teaching high school he attended Carnegie Mellon, receiving his degree in Mechanical Engineering. John worked at Alcoa from 1954-1990. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.

John was preceded in death by his brother Jim Cooper, sister Nancy Reed, and an infant daughter.

John is survived by his wife Jeanne Cooper, children Gary Cooper, John Cooper, Mark Cooper and Linda Cooper, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Concord Presbyterian Church in Parker, PA at a later date.
