John (Sonny) Hurst

John (Sonny) Hurst, age 78, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Margie Hurst; sister, Edith Newport (Ed); sister-in-law, Sharon LeQuire; brother-in-law; Clay Pritchett. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judith Pritchett Hurst; sister, Mary Hurst Walker; children, Stacy Hubbard (Tim); Travers Hurst, Wendy Hurst Pittman (Kyle); grandchildren, Caleb and Weston Hubbard, Jenna and Sarah Pittman, Abby and Emma Hurst; great-granddaughter, Ruby Hubbard. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with John Baker officiating. Friends may visit at their convenience 9:00 AM-3:00PM Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
