Joy Burns Merriman

Mrs. Joy Burns Merriman, age 60, of Maryville , TN , formerly of Hampton , GA passed away, October 16, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Fred Burns and Nora Thompson Burns. She is survived by her husband, Tad; children, Benjamin Tad (Rebecca) Merriman of Concord, NC, Lindsay (Jeff) Lewis of Maryville, TN, Lisa Prevatte Hadde of Belleville, MI.; grandson, Leyton Knox Lewis; cousins, nieces, nephews; caregivers, Linda Morton, Sherri Staley, and Pat Delozier; and a group of very loving friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 5-7 PM at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, Jonesboro , GA. Joy will then be taken back to Maryville , TN. Funeral services in Tennessee will be held, Friday, October 18, 2013 at 7 PM at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, 220 W. Broadway Ave. , Maryville , TN 37801 , phone: 865-982-6812. The family will receive friends there from 5-7 PM the day of the service. Interment will be at Pecks Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery in Maryville , TN on Saturday, October 19, 2013.
