Juanita ''Mama June'' Whitehead

WHITEHEAD, Juanita “Mama June”, age 78 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at Blount Memorial Transitional Care Center. She was a member of Old Piney Grove Baptist Church and the Chilhowee View Community Center and was preceded in death by her parents; twin brothers, and one sister. Survivors include her devoted companion and special friend, Herb Yearout; daughters, Sandra Roberts and husband Clyde, Janice Hill and husband Max all of Maryville, Connie Iorio of VA, Karen McCarthy of Maryville; grandchildren, Todd and Brad Roberts, Kelly Simerly, Traci McDavid, Trent Hord, Michelle Mashburn; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Glenn Whitehead of Maryville; sister, Genevieve Tipton of Maryville. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rex Everett officiating. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Old Piney Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
