Laura Ann Tate, age 78 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Tate; daughter, Vicki Chandler; parents, Charles and Maude Walker. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Milton Blair; grandchildren, Alex Tipton, Erica Tipton, Michael Chandler; great grandchildren, Noelle Tipton, Kris Tipton-Dick, Maggie Chandler; brothers, Guy Walker and wife Rachel, Charlie Walker and wife Betty, Spence Walker and wife Brenda; several nieces and cousins. An entombment service will at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Sherwood Mausoleum’s Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Eastern TN Chapter, 2270 Sutherland Avenue, Suite 202, Knoxville, TN 37919.
