Leonard "Wade" Long

Leonard “Wade” Long, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at home at the age of 78. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, and retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company after 37 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Neva Long; sister, Helen Davis; brothers, Burl Long, R.B. Long, and Horace Long.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Lynn Long; son, James Long; grandson, Samuel Long; step-grandsons, Austin Williamson and Alex Williamson and their mother, Hope Long; sister, Imogene King; brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior (Anne) Long, and Ralph (Melissa) Long.

The family will have a private graveside service at Sherwood Memorial Gardens with Chaplin Jeremy Hayes officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be considered to Piney Grove Baptist Church, 536 Blockhouse Rd., Maryville, TN 37803.
