Louise Goddard Hightower

HIGHTOWER, Louise Goddard, age 84 of Alcoa, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at St. Mary’s Residential Hospice. She was a member of Alcoa First United Methodist Church where she had been Circle Chairman for many years, was past president of the American Legion and a past member of the Alcoa Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Hightower and parents, Walter L. and Agnes McCall Goddard. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Linda Hightower of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Tom Welch of Chico, CA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Hazel Goddard of Maryville, Boyd and Alice Goddard of Montgomery, AL; sister, Ruth Cochran of Maryville; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Gene Hamilton of Maryville; step grandchildren, Kathy Snell and Cindy Price both of Knoxville, Tom Welch, III and Wendy Welch of Oregon; 5 step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Green officiating. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Grandview Cemetery.
