LT. Colonel Jesse C. DeLozier, USAFR, Ret.-age 85 passed away Saturday, September 29th, 2007 in Erwin, TN. Jesse was born and raised in Wildwood, TN. He joined the Air Corps in 1944 and became a member of the 6th Combat Cargo Squadron, flying cargo in the south pacific. The squadron has been holding reunions since 1955. Jesse remained in the military as a reservist until his retirement in 1972. He worked and retired from ALCOA Aluminum Co. in 1978 and was a member of the ALCOA 25 year club. Jesse has been a member of Logans Chapel United Methodist Church for 85 years, being enrolled at 2 weeks old. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Merle Gillespie DeLozier; brother, Max DeLozier and sister Ailene McNabb. Survived by his wife of 36 years, Wilda Stallings DeLozier; daughters, Lana Notestine, Vicki Rutledge, Kathy King and husband Bill, Donna Seagroves and husband Dennis; 34 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews A graveside service with Military Honors will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, October, 2nd, 2007 at Logans Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ann Robins officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30 pm Monday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, 982-6812
