Lubert Leland Bradford, Jr., Brad of Maryville, 88 years old and a veteran of the Korean War passed away peacefully at U.T. Hospital on September 30, 2018. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. Preceded in death by father, Lubert Leland Bradford, Sr., mother, Luella Bridges Bradford; sisters, Letta Faye Patterson and husband Paul, Barbara Katheline Bradley and husband Jack Helmboldt; brother, Leonard Bradford and wife Jama, and first wife, Enid Atchley Bradford all of Knoxville. Survived by wife of 57 years, Barbara Kelso Bradford; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Kay Compton and James, Laura Gail Bivens and Larry, Teresa Denise Wilson and Jeff; son and daughter-in-law, Leland Jeffrey Bradford and Candie; grandchildren, Melissa Davis and husband Chris, Timothy Bivens, Vanessa Ehlert and husband Brett, Eric Compton and wife Sara, Trista Prater and fianc, Ben Smith, Kelsey Wilson, and Trent Wilson; 9 great grandchildren and one due in April 2019. Several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Special thank you to Ben Atchley Veterans Home Staff on C wing for taking care of him the last 2 years. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with the service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Tony Collins officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery, Knoxville, for the interment service.
