Lucile Lane

6-22-2003 Lucile Lane - of Maryville passed away Saturday, June 21, 2003 at Asbury Acres Health Center. She was born in Maryville in the Binfield community. She was a graduate of East Tennessee State University and taught school in Blount County for over 40 years, mostly at Sam Houston Elementary in Maryville. She was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ellen Best Lane; brothers, Linton Lane, Charles Lane and Grover Lane; sisters, Maude Tipton, Eva Houser, Etta Giffin, and Jessie Kidd. Survivors include nephew, Bill Lane, of Maryville; niece, Linda Gordon, of Kingsport; great- nephew, Mark Dunn, of Maryville; great-nieces, Diana Dunn, of Louisville, and Janie Haley, of Maryville; several other great-nephews and great-nieces. Family and friends will meet 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Dr. G. Kenneth Gates officiating.
