Lula “Evell” Russell, age 80 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Elmer H. Russell; son, Roger Deering and his wife June; granddaughters, Tessa McClanahan and Mike, Ellen Passmore and Jacob; great grandson, John Morgan McClanahan; sister, Sarah Jean Shindler; brother, Billy Joe Whittimore; stepdaughters, Linda Whitehead and Jim, Pat Stephens and Doyle, Sharon Pelfrey and Jim; 5 step grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Macht officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Piney Level Cemetery for the interment service.
