Beloved. Husband. Father. Brother. Lynn Wilson, 85 of Knoxville, Tn. passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ Monday morning April 27th while at home with his loved ones.
Born and raised in Maryville, Tn. Served in Army National Guard afterwards Lynn moved to Detroit, Mi. where he worked at Chevrolet, Gear and Axle in Hamtramk, Mi. until he retired.
Returning home to Tennessee, Lynn enjoyed his retirement spending time with his family and friends when he was not watching westerns or spoiling his dogs.
Lynn was a member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church, Knoxville, Tn where he taught Sunday school for many years. He had a passion for studying scripture and wrote many commentaries and guides on topics and books of the Bible.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents. Ralph and Lora (Murphy) Wilson. Sisters Helen Tuck and Sue Boring all of Maryville, Tn.
Survived by his wife Judy A. (Thomas) of Knoxville, Tn. Daughter Robin (late son-in-law Michael) Ridlon of Kingston, Tn., Rebecca (Joseph) Pettibone of Maryville, Tn. Step-son Pete Thomas of Knoxville, Tn. and Cathy (Ken) Johnson of Rinard, IA.
Grandson David Ridlon of Harriman, Tn. Granddaughter Amanda (Houston) Settle of Kingston, Tn. Step-granddaughters Samantha Pechans of Avoca, Wi., Betty Lu Bellinghausen of Trivechburg, Wi. and Jayden Allen of Jefferson City, Tn.
Great-grandsons Samuel and Sidney Ridlon of Lenoir City, Tn. Step Great-granddaughter Elaina May Bellinghausen of Rinard, Ia.
Sisters Bobby Ray of Greenback, Tn. Lyda Helton of Knoxville, Tn. And brother Jerry (Pat) Wilson of Maryville, Tn. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on April 30th at McCammon Ammons Click Funeral Home 220 West Broadway, Maryville, Tn. From 5 to 7pm. A service directed by Reverend Rick Nichols will start at 7pm all are welcome to attend.
Burial will be attended by immediate family members at Missionary Baptist Church, Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountain National Park at a later date.
