Marilyn M. Bowers

Marilyn M. Bowers, age 86, passed away Friday, July 10, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. Bowers; parents, Frances and Grace McCammon; sisters, Lois McCammon and Carol Ferguson.

She is survived by her stepdaughters, Carole White and Sharon Bowers; grandchildren, Cari (Hines) and Collin White; great-grandchildren, Rowan Hines, Harlow Hines and Elara White; nieces, Barbara Brown and Fran Shults; nephews, Roger and David Ferguson; sister, Joyce Franklin; several great-nieces and nephews.

She was a graduate of the University of TN where she studied nutrition. She retired from UT as Head Dietitian where she took great pride in feeding the students and athletes. She was an avid fan of all VOL athletics.

Family and friends will meet at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 17, 2026, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a service with Rev. Tom Gilliland officiating.
