Martha Jean Benson

BENSON, Martha Jean, age 69 of Maryville, passed away Friday, April 18, 2003, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Williamson Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Dorothy Griffin Allen; sister, Louise Cates; brother, James Allen. Survivors include: husband, Joe E. Benson; daughter, Gwendolyn Benson; brothers, Jerry Allen and William Allen both of NC; special brother-in-law, Don Benson of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gaye King officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Williamson Chapel Cemetery for the interment service.
