Martha Jane Everett Porter

Martha Jane Everett Porter age 74, a devoted follower of Christ, and a loving family woman, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, leaving a legacy of faith, learning, and love.

Saved at a young age, Martha deeply loved Jesus and dedicated her life to serving Him. Her profound love for studying scripture was central to who she was, guiding her daily walk.

She poured her heart into leading classes for Precept Ministries and teaching various other church classes, helping countless others deepen their understanding of God's truth. A firm believer in the power of prayer, she anchored her life and her family in constant intercession.

Preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Eleanor (Bailes) Everett; her parents-in-law, Clifford and June Porter.

Martha is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gary. Her children, Greg (Melissa) Porter and Kyla Porter Reynolds; Grandchildren Aliza and Carter Reynolds, Caroline and Audrey Porter. Special friends Cindy, Ann, Donna, Katy, Leisa, Linda, and Wanda.

Martha will be deeply missed as she was deeply loved by those who knew her. We are thankful for the promise of heaven. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to MANNA Ministries, Inc.

Receiving of friends will be Tuesday, July 14, at McCammon Ammons Click from 5:00-7:00pm with service to follow. Family and friends will meet at 11:00am Wednesday, July 15, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MANNA Ministries, Inc.
