Mary Ellen Gregory

GREGORY, Mary Ellen Wheeler, age 55 of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2002, at St. Mary’s Hospice in Knoxville. She had been a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church since 1955 and was preceded in death by her father, R. B. “Pickle” Wheeler. Survivors include: husband, Wallace Gene Gregory of Louisville; children, Michelle Painter and husband Stan of Friendsville and Trina Ashburn and husband Jerry of Knoxville; grandchild, Dawson Painter of Friendsville; mother, Mildred Wheeler of Louisville; brother, Jim Wheeler of Paducah, KY; sister-in-law, Pat Wheeler of Paducah; nephew, Daryl Wheeler of Paducah; niece, Stephanie Wheeler of Paducah. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday at Beech Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Armstrong officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Sherwood Mausoleum for the entombment service. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at Beech Grove Baptist Church.
