Mary Ruth Gordy Huffstetler, age 73 of Alcoa, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014, at home. She was a member of Mountain View Christian Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Josephine Henry Gordy; brother, Frank Gordy; sisters, Emma Monday and Iva Gordy. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Lester C. Huffstetler; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Kent Davis; grandchildren, Jonathan Davis, Heather Hillhouse, Jennifer Davis and Ashlyn Davis; great grandchildren, Meadow Hillhouse and Emerson Davis; niece, Sherry Monday. An entombment service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Elder Steve Raulston officiating.
