Melvin Duff Giles

Melvin Duff Giles, age 80, passed away at Maryville Healthcare Center Monday, May 7, 2012. He was a Korean War Veteran, a member Rockford Masonic Lodge #469, Past Worshipful Master and a member of the Shriners, a member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite, Martha Washington Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, and Past Patron Of Martha Washington Eastern Star. He was a member of Maryville First United, Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by parents Joe and Irene Hicks Giles, and brother Vernon Giles. He is survived by his wife, Cedith Flynn Giles; brother Glen Giles; brothers-in-law, Dwayne Flynn and wife Margaret, Mitchell Flynn and wife Gail, sister-in-law, Katherine Giles, and many and much-loved nieces and nephews and special caregiver, Deborah Garibay. A Masonic Funeral will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Chapel with Rev. John Tierbach officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
