Mildred L. Downey

Mildred Chapman Downey - age 87 of Maryville went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 29, 2017. She was a long time member of Mountain View Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years Estel Downey; daughter, Carolyn Downey Owens; parents, Vaneus and Mona Chapman; brother, Homer Chapman. Survivors include her loving children, sons Ronald Downey and wife Marie, Gerald Downey; daughter, Cheryl Downey Smith and husband Lonnie; grandchildren, Brad Smith, April Smith Faircloth, Michael and Daniel Downey; great-grandchildren, Zeke, BJ, Carol and Isaac; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Blount Hospice for their wonderful care and support. Funeral services will be 8:00 P.M. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jonathon Westerfield officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Mountain View Church of Christ Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
