Myrtle P. Heatherly

Myrtle P. Heatherly - age 88 of Alcoa passed away Sunday, March 6, 2005 at Blount Memorial Hospital Transitional Care. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Alcoa for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Mary Gibson Perkins; brothers, Ernest Perkins and W.F. Perkins. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Melvin F. Heatherly; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Clayton Beaty of Cleveland, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Don and Shirley Heatherly of Maryville; grandson, John Beaty; sisters, Ruth Miller of Maryville, Marie Ellard of Jellico; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carrie and Aubrey Brundick of Lafollette, Louise and Herman Holsopple of Oak Ridge; sisters-in-law, Georgia Richardson of Maryville, Christine Miller of Clinton, Opal Heatherly of Lafollette, Alma Perkins of Jellico, and Horta Perkins of Thomasville, NC; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Long officiating. The entombment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
