Nell Garland Brewer

Nell Garland Brewer, age 87 of Maryville, passed away Friday, June 12, 2009, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Green Meadow United Methodist Church and a longtime Science Teacher at Lanier High School and Bearden High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. and Addie Thomas Garland; husband, Clair A. Brewer; brother, Blair L. Garland; sisters, Bernice Smith and Elizabeth Hamilton. Survivors include her cousin, Kathleen Harrison; niece, Judy Batson and husband Dan; nephew, Bill Garland and wife Inous; special relatives, Leiza and Kayleigh Howard, Rebecca Willis, Patrick Garland, Lee, Jon and Jacob Rouse. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank “Buzz” J. Trexler officiating. The interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Knoxville.
