Nelle E. Brown

BROWN, Nelle E. Meade “Granny”, age 87 of Maryville, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2004 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church for 58 years and Past Matron of Mary Blount OES 133. She was preceded in death by husband, William Alvin Brown; parents, William A. and Mary Elizabeth Brown; brothers, Frank, Ralph, and Raymond Meade; sister, Louise Devine. Survivors include: daughter, Mary Mills; daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Bud Davis, Billie and Don Baxter; grandchildren, Billie Mills, Kitty Morgan, Mike, Bobby, and David Mills, Nancy Allmon, Doug Davis, Mary Day, Betty McKenzie, and Richard Saunders; 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Family and friends will meet at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Gene Gann officiating.
