Nickey Douglas Lawson

LAWSON, Nickey Douglas, age 58 of Gainesville, GA, formerly of Alcoa, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2005, in Gainesville. He was a graduate of Alcoa High School, Class of 1964, and was a Vietnam veteran having served in the U. S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his father, Mayford Lawson; grandparents, Grant Lawson, Ann Lawson, Jim Potter and Josie Potter. Survivors include his mother, Edith Lawson of Alcoa; sister and brother-in-law, Terry and Edward Bodine of Alcoa; niece, Laura Keim and husband Ted; great nieces and great nephews, Suzanne, Douglas, Samuel and Colson; fiancé, Myra Beard of Gainesville, GA. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Mattox Cemetery in Wears Valley for a graveside service with Rev. Henry Linginfelter officiating.
