Nora Jane Long

Long, Nora Jane, age 88 of Rockford, passed away Monday, July 21, 2008, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Long, Sr.; son, Earl Long, Jr.; parents, Crockett and Effie Maples; brothers, Earl Maples, Jr., Frank Maples and Horace Maples; sisters, Ola Winstead and Leona Cox. Survivors include her special nephew and wife, Dale and Jolene Brewer of Maryville; several other nieces and nephews; special friends, Anne Winstead and Kitty Drinnen both of Strawberry Plains. Family and friends will meet at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 12:00 noon graveside service with Chaplain David Jenkins and Chaplain Billy Ridner, of the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, officiating.
