Opal Marie Nichols

Opal Marie Nichols, age 88 of Maryville, born October 3, 1922, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a retired employee of Suttles Heating and Cooling and was preceded in death by her husband, Sgt. Edwin C. Nichols, Sr.; parents, Rev. Oran and Jamie Acuff; grandchildren, John Arwood and David Arwood. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and O. B. Hale of Morristown; son and daughter-in-law, Edwin C., Jr. and Missey Nichols of Decatur, AL; grandchildren, Linda Kyte and husband Steve, Meredith Nichols; great granddaughter, Selena Stout and husband John; great great grandson, Aaron Stout; brothers, James Acuff, John Acuff and wife Sandra, Pat Acuff and wife Imogene; dear friends, Sam and Billie Suttles, Roger Suttles. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a graveside service with Rev. Curtis Woods officiating.
