Ovid G. Goins

Ovid G. Goins, age 95 of Louisville, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016, at his home. He was a charter member of Topside Church of God, was a veteran of World War II having served in the U. S. Army, he was retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25 Year Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Nora Parrott Goins; former wife, Margaret Goins; brother, William Goins; sister, Arlene Hubbard; daughter-in-law, Faith Goins. Survivors include his son, Charles Goins; daughters, June Goins, Beth (Rick) Henry; grandchildren, Tina Tipton, Karen Jenkins, Michael (Melanie) Goins, Wendy Henry; great grandchildren, Billy, Brandon and Brayden Tipton, Austin Jenkins; great-great-granddaughter, Brylee Tipton; sister, Oleda Lambert; brother, Kenneth Goins; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a graveside service with Rev. Phillip Marshall officiating.
