Pete Mayford Whitehead

Pete Mayford Whitehead, age 69 of Maryville, passed away May 9, 2010, at home. He was a Veteran. Preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Della Whitehead; 8 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include his wife, Lillie Whitehead; son, Cole Whitehead; daughter Margaretha Dixon and Henry Dixon; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Will Whitehead and wife Norma; sisters, Selma Hall and Dora Simonds; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends all from Blount County. Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the TN Veterans Cemetery, Knoxville, for a graveside service.
