Raymond Denton Lumpkin, age 84 of Greenback, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of High Praises Church and was preceded in death by his son, Homer Ray Lumpkin; father and mother, Huse and Hattie Ray Lumpkin; brothers, Roe Lumpkin, Roy Lumpkin; sisters, Alice Lumpkin, Hazel Flecksteine. Survivors include his wife, Louise Lumpkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Peter O’Neill of Warner Robins, Ga, Janet and Jeff Venable of Greenback, TN; grandchildren, Christy and Steve Darcey of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jackie and Sean Stewart of Spring Hill, TN, Kelly O’Neill of Miami, FL, Jeffrey Paul Venable of Greenback, TN; great grandchildren, Ariel Darcey of Cocoa, FL, Phoebe Darcey of Myrtle Beach, SC and Hailey Stewart of Spring Hill, TN. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jackie Midkiff officiating. The interment will follow in Cloyd’s Creek Cemetery.
