Rev. Clifford Lee Debety, age 93, born April 19, 1924. On Thursday, February 8, 2018, he was reunited with Mafle, his beloved wife of 68 years, in his heavenly home. A life-long servant of the Lord, Rev. Debety pastored several churches in the area, including Six Mile Baptist Church and Old Piney Grove, as well as retired from the ALCOA Company. He continued to faithfully serve the Lord until his illness, and brought the light of Christ to many through his ministry. Rev. Debety was preceded in death by his parents; Henry Clay and Shine Debety; his brother and many sisters. He is survived by his two daughters, Gail Morgan (Rick) and Barbara Easterday (Richard); two sisters, Lou Campbell and Frances Duckett; grandchildren, Lynn Morton, Lacy Lotter, and Jill Copeland; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Katie Rose, Haven, Amber, and Ben; grand-dog, Mango; extended family, Alaina Pope and Kevin Easterday and families; many church friends and family. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 11, at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Bob Lawson and Rev. Greg Long officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 12, at Grandview Cemetery for the interment service with Rev. Frank Buzz Trexler officiating. For memorial contributions, the family has designated the Louisville Christian Assistance Center (2942 Topside Road, Louisville, TN 37777), where his daughters continue his servant-ship through their volunteer work.
