Robert Andrew Hancox, Jr., age 89 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. He was a member of Maryville First United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Goddard Hancox; father and mother, Robert Andrew Hancox, Sr., and Sarah Hale Hancox; brothers, Arthur, Wade, and Elmer Hancox; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Agnes and Mortimer Compton; nephew and wife, David and Norma Compton; nieces, Carolyn and Barbara. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kathie and Michael Gross; son, Robert A. Hancox, III; grandsons, Gregory Gross, Jonathan Gross and wife Amy, Robert Hancox, IV, David Hancox and wife Baylen; great granddaughters, Rowan Elizabeth Gross and Reese Andrea Gross; great grandson, Lucas Edward Hancox; nieces, Beverly Fint and husband Don, Sandy Ross, Judy Brauninger, Dorothy Rosseel; nephews, Jack Hancox and wife Doris, Bill Hancox, Jarett Hancox, Richard Hancox. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Maryville First United Methodist Church with Jonathan Gross officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Church.
