Robert D. McDermott

Bob McDermott, age 88, went to be with his Lord & Savior, Jesus on October 17, 2025. He was born in Denver, Colorado, but grew up in Sheboygan, Wisconsin where he also raised his five children. He lived in many states for a career as a plastics engineer. Bob passed away in Louisville, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents Caryl and Robert F. McDermott, son Mark McDermott, sisters Linda McDermott, Starr Margeneau and Fran Albertin.

He was survived by his wife of 43 years, Theresa McDermott, sister Sharon Erdmann, children David (Pam) McDermott, Mary Beth McDermott, Robert (Vicki) McDermott, Julie (Dave) Magritz, many grandchildren and a growing number of great grandchildren.

Bob was always active in his church. He also liked to hook up his camper and travel all over the United States. Golfing, fishing, hunting and helping others were some of his favorite pastimes.

Memorial service will be at Praise Lutheran Church on November 14th at noon with Pastor Derek Roberts Officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Praise Lutheran Church 315 Southdowne Drive, Maryville, TN 37801.
