Ronald Coy Porter

Ronald Coy Porter, 84, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025. Born on July 22, 1940, Ronald was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Long Porter.

Ronald never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. He enjoyed antiquing for vintage Ball jars, canning his summer vegetables, sharing homemade jams, line dancing with friends he made at cardiac rehab and telling stories of his life and talking about his granddaughter.

Ronald is survived by his son, Ron Porter; his daughter, Stephanie Halouma and son-in-law Chris Halouma; his beloved granddaughter, Graison Halouma; his sisters Phyllis Adams and Shirley Farr; and close friend, Margo Gibson.

Receiving of friends will be held at McCammon-Ammons Funeral Home, 220 W. Broadway Ave. Maryville, on Monday, May 5, from 4:00 – 5:00 pm followed by a celebration of life at 5:00 p.m.

Ronald’s kind spirit, generosity and compassion touched the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by his family, many friends, and all who knew him.
