Rose Ilene Stratton

Rose Ilene Stratton - age 85 of Townsend, born May 16, 1921 in Walland, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Tuckaleechee United Methodist Church, Townsend. She was an avid Sports Fan, Golfer, and a member of the Lambert Acres Ladies Golf League. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harry A. Stratton; parents, Lee and Anna Burns; sisters, Margaret Hurst, and Anna Irwin; brother, Bill Burns. Survivors include her daughter, Harriet Pangle, of Townsend; grandson, Aaron Todd Pangle of Townsend; sister, Cordelia “Dee” Irwin of Maryville; brothers-in-law, Ralph Irwin of Maryville, Jim Hurst of Walland, and Joe Stratton of Atlanta; sisters-in-law, Minnie Foster of Kingsport, Margaret Waters of Louisville, Jane Burchfield of Maryville, and Betty White of Alcoa; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Franklin officiating. The interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1 to 2 P.M. at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville 982-6812.
