Rowena B. Huffstetler, died April 26,2025. She was born in Loudon County to the late Minnie S. Bright and Lawrence L. Bright. She was educated in the Maryville City School System. Her working years were spent in merchandising, clerical and accounting positions. She was active at First United Methodist Church in Maryville. She was predeceased, in addition to her parents, by a sister, Jean B. Hampton and grandparents, J.W. and Eula Lee Bright and Will and Alice Slay.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Libby) Huffstetler and Patrick (Teresa) Huffstetler; grandsons, Matthew (Heather) Huffstetler, Cory (Sophie) Huffstetler, and Drew (Jackie) Huffstetler; last but not least, great-grandchildren, Tyler, Alyssa, Kylea, and Brody Huffstetler, Malakiah Johnson, Hailey Duke, Brayden (Alyson) Duke; niece and nephew, Betsy Parsons, Jeff Hampton; friends, Shirley Heatherly, Bobbie Handly, late Barbara Nan Brooks, Ed and Kim Mitchell, late Jewel Newman, Will Watkins, Dustin Plemmons, Rilee Ousley.

Family and friends will meet at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a graveside service with Rev. Tony Collins officiating.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, Knoxville.
