Roy Lee Branton, age 76, of Maryville, passed away peacefully on November 12th, 2025.
Roy was born in Walland, Tennessee, to the late Roy Clayton Branton and Erma Robinson Branton. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Roy lived his life with quiet strength, humility, and faith. He was a lifelong member and deacon at Ridgeview Baptist Church, where he joyfully served and shared his beautiful singing voice in worship. His deep Christian faith guided every aspect of his life, and he was a living example of kindness, integrity, and love for the Lord.
Roy found joy in the simple things–hunting, fishing, and farming. He loved the outdoors and took great pride in working the land, sharing stories, and spending time with those he loved most. His steady presence and gentle humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Helen K. Branton, daughter, Susan (Eric) Miller; grandchildren, Morgan Wol and Katie (Ryan) Jorgensen; and great-grandchildren, Mila and Marlee Wol. He is also survived by his siblings, Jama (Rick) Rodefer, Arnold (Sherri) Branton, and Paul Branton; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Roy was preceded in death by his beloved son, Bradford Branton; brother, Kenneth Branton; and his parents, Roy Clayton and Erma Robinson Branton.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, at 10:30 am, at Cold Springs Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Roy’s life and the many memories he leaves behind.
Roy will be remembered for his faith, his love of family, and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
