CHAMBERS, Roy Rhodes, born July 22, 1917. Entered Heaven February 3, 2008 at his home. He was a member of Mt. View Church of Christ (Christian). World War II U. S. Army Veteran having served in Luzon in the Philippines. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Mt. View Lodge. He was retired from ALCOA and a member of the 25 Year Club. He was preceded in death by parents, Joshua and Marinda Chambers; wife, Stella Crisp Chambers; son, Douglas Chambers; sisters, Millie, Anna Bell, Eliza Bruner, Alta Chambers, Marietta Powell, and Hattie Crowder; brothers, Bob, Mack, Hershel and Harold Chambers. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Dwight and Cathy Chambers of GA, Drew and Marcia Chambers of Maryville; daughter, Diane Chambers of Maryville; daughters and sons-in-law, Janie and Steve Hargis of Friendsville, Renee Chambers Clark (David) of Maryville; granddaughters, Amy Taylor (Chris), Wendi Clendenen (Gary), Brandy Brewer (Sean); grandsons, Sandy Roberson (Gary), Todd Chambers (Kathy), Jamie Chambers (Gail), Josh Chambers (Amy), Tim Chambers (Ashley), John Chambers, Matt Chambers (Jessica), Will Hargis, Shane Bagwell (Angie); great grandchildren, Destiny Holder (Billy), Lauren Hill, Addison and Asher Taylor, Rusty Roberts, Sydney Chambers, Cade Clendenen, Anna and Holly Chambers, Evan and Brayden Brewer, Brycen Bagwell; great great granddaughter, Haley Holder. He was blessed with many friends and relatives. Special thanks to Destiny, Renee and David, loving caretakers; Dr. John Pittenger and his nurse, Janene and Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Ronnie Crisp officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:00 noon Thursday at Sherwood Mausoleum for the entombment service. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home.
