Ruby Shirley Godfrey

Godfrey, Ruby Shirley, age 86 of Maryville, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2005. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a faithful and loyal Jehovah’s Witness for 58 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Trudy Shirley; by her loving husband of 58 years, Charles W. Godfrey; brothers, Taylor and Glenn Shirley. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Kerstin Godfrey of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jodie Millward of Maryville; sisters, Ina Potter of West Virginia, Norma Veness of IL; sister and brother-in-law, Myrna and Don Lauderdale of TX; grandchildren, Kim Godfrey of NC, Gina Wasson and husband John of VA, Josh Millward and wife Amy of Greenback, Jason Millward of Los Angeles, CA; great grandchildren, Jillian and Natalie Wasson of VA, Brady and Brianna Millward of Greenback; brother-in-law, Tom Godfrey and wife, Edith of Maryville; sisters-in-law, Delores Teffeteller of Maryville, Vernell Godfrey of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Her smiling face will be missed by all her friends from the Kingdom Hall. There will be a memorial service held Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall on Middlesettlements Road in Maryville with Elders Gerald Johnson and Pete Davis officiating.
