Ruth Louise Blankenship

1-9-2012 Ruth “Louise” Blankenship - age 71 of Friendsville passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Frances Miller; brothers, Bill and John William Miller; sister, Mary Ann Miller. Survivors include her husband, Bob Blankenship; son and daughter-in-law, David and Amy Blankenship; sons, Steve “Snappy” Blankenship and Bill Blankenship all of Friendsville; grandchildren, Lauren, Will, Alex, Eva Blankenship and Kate Barnett; sisters, Lorene Goddard of Maryville and Dorothy Snow of Ewing, VA; half sister, Carol Hutchenson; half brother, Frank Roberts; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Wednesday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Allen Burchfield and Rev. Jack Hitch officiating. Family and friends will meet 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Mt. Zion Cemetery for the interment service. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.
