Sandra Kerr, Age 83, of Vonore passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026 at her home. Sandra was born on July 30,1942 in Joliet, IL to the late Emery and Glenice Jones. Sandra graduated Wilmington High School with the Class of 1960. She started her work career at the Joliet Arsenal Ammunitions Plant as a Secretary. She then later worked for Embassy Care Center as a Secretary until her retirement.
Sandra loved dancing at record hops in her "younger days" and watching Peyton Place and one of her favorite old movies, Tobacco Road. She was a faithful assistant to her dad treating patients in massage therapy. She loved dogs, horses and a western theme. Her childhood idols were Roy Rogers and Hopalong Cassidy. She was a fan of country music, Dolly, Elvis, Rod Stewart and Alan Jackson. She never missed an episode of Yellowstone and was Rips biggest fan. She loved watching General Hospital and first watched it with her Nana in the 60's. She was a fashionable lady and loved wearing her leopard prints and ankle bracelets and made the best macaroni and cheese for her family. She never refused a Reuben or White Castle. She loved pontoon rides with her family. She was a loving and devoted mom, mother-in-law, grandma, sister-in-law, aunt, dog mom and Sisy. A beloved friend to many throughout the years. Fiercely loyal to her family and friends; always listened and gave comfort when it was needed. There are no words to express how much she will be missed. She was and will always be our hero. "Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I'll miss you until we meet again".
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Glenice Jones; husband of 15 years, William Kerr.
She is survived by her children, Chuck (Julie) Sprandel, Candy (Dale) McWilliams, Cassandra (Darin) Plotts, Brandie (Tom) Catlin; Grandkids, Savannah (Michael) Basnar, Zachary (Christina) McWilliams, Alexa McWilliams, Nick McWilliams, Brett (Emily) McWilliams, Luke McWilliams, Kyle (Jessica) Plotts, Elizabeth Catlin, Tom (Autumn) Catlin, Danielle Catlin, Cris Catlin; Great Grandchildren, Kennedy Hartley, Bentley Plotts, Audrina Plotts; Sister, Paula (Kevin) Baldwin; Niece, Lindsey (Jason) Dockemeyer; Great Niece and Nephew, Emma Dockemeyer and Easton Dockemeyer; and beloved pet Bobo.
