Sandra Hancox Ross

Sandra Hancox Ross 85, of Maryville, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026.

Born on January 11, 1941, to the late Elmer and Beulah Hancox, Sandra lived a life centered on family and faith and was a member of First United Methodist Church, Maryville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Ross; all of her siblings, including brother Richard Hancox and sisters Jean Burns, Joan Hancox, Dorothy Rosseel, Carolyn Barilone, and Judy Brauninger; her grandson, Jacob Hargis; her parents-in-law, James Ralph and Elizabeth Beatrice Ross; and brothers-in-law Don Ross and Bill Ross.

Survivors include: her children, Lisa O’Connor (Bob), Angela Hargis (Richard) of and Christopher Ross (Beverly); her grandchildren, James and Thomas Hargis, Gavin Ross, Kayley and Ashley O’Connor; her great-grandchildren, Karey-Ella, Kyla, and Kaylynn; brothers-in-law Steven Ross (Laura Jean) and David Ross; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by extended Ross family who loved her dearly.

A private graveside service was held at Grandview Cemetery.

Sandra will be remembered for her devoted love to her husband Jim, her warm heart as a mother and grandmother, and the kindness and strength she showed throughout her 85 years. God blessed her with a long life filled with family, and she now rests in His loving arms.
