Sarah Clayton Edwards Smith

SMITH, Sarah Clayton Edwards, age 92 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2005, at her home. She was a longtime member of Maryville First United Methodist Church. She was much beloved by her children and a large circle of friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, William W. Edwards, Roy A. Smith and 6 beloved siblings. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Edwards Thomas and Charles R. Thomas of Maryville; son and daughter-in-law, William C. “Chipper” and Lynn R. Edwards of Maryville; grandchildren, Mark Charles Thomas and wife Datha Thomas and Kerma Thomas Headrick and husband Michael H. Headrick; great grandchildren, Andrew Mark Thomas, Lindsay Marie Thomas, Leah Michelle Thomas, Thomas Michael Headrick and Sarah Diane Headrick; sisters, Mary Clayton Queen of Pigeon Forge, Helen Clayton Keisler of Saluda, SC, Anna Laurie Clayton Freeman of Chapel Hill, NC; brothers, James Clayton of San Francisco, CA and Max Clayton of Roswell, Ga; a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Horn officiating. The interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Mt. Olive Cemetery.
