Sarah Elizabeth Delaney Franklin

Sarah Elizabeth Delaney Franklin, age 89, left this earth and entered her eternal home in Heaven on Wednesday January 28th. Known to many as Betty, she supported her husband in 68 years of marriage to Dr. John Henry Franklin, who pastored several Southern Baptist churches for 56 years in Mississippi, Texas & Tennessee, including Everett Hills Baptist Church in Maryville. Sarah is a member of Everett Hills Baptist Church. She also worked in several different doctors’ offices and Blount Discount Pharmacy before she retired. She was preceded in death by her parents Luther Victor and Frances Delaney, and husband, Brother John. 

She is survived by her sons John V (Melanie) Franklin & Daniel C (Renee) Franklin, daughter Tammy J (David) Kidd, 4 grandchildren and spouses, and 10 great-grandchildren, sisters Linda Best and Vicki Weaver, and many beloved nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. 

The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 6:30 pm on Friday January 30th at Everett Hills Baptist Church, 401 S. Everett High Road in Maryville, TN with a Celebration of Life service to follow with Pastor Doug Hayes officiating.
