Sophia Earline Ammons Vaughn, age 84, of Rockford passed away May 20, 2019 in Panama City Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by parents, Earl and Sophie Bostick Ammons; daughters, Betty Ann McCampbell and Ruby Vaughn; granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Vaughn; sister, Dora Harrill; brother, Thomas Ammons. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Vaughn and Janice of Rockford; daughter and son-in-law, Jannis and Larry Reeves of Panama City Beach; son, James Vaughn of Alcoa; son-in-law, George McCampbell; grandchildren, Joe Stafford, Kay Shell, Sam McCampbell, Tyler Reeves, Jenna Jarnagin, Chris McGill, Ashley McGill; several loved great-grandbabies and 1 great-great-grandbaby; former daughter-in-law, Sandra Vaughn; many loved friends. Family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Magnolia Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev. Arthur Lynn officiating. Friends may call at your convenience between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
